Traineeships at the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) in Luxembourg 2027

The Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) invites young graduates to apply for a paid traineeship (approximately 200 places available each year).

Traineeship programmes for the Spring 2027 session (01/03/2027–31/07/2027):

  • General Traineeship (Duration: 5 months)
    • Fields: In the offices of Members/Judges (Law, Political Science, Economics) or Administrative Services (IT, HR, Archives, Architecture, etc.).

  • Conference Interpreters Traineeship (Duration: 10–12 weeks)
    • Requirements: Degree in conference interpreting and skills in at least two passive languages (C) or a second active language (A/B) according to AIIC classification.

  • Inclusive Traineeship (Duration: 3–5 months)
    • Target Audience: Candidates with a recognised disability (at least 20%). Offers an increased grant and tailored accommodations.
    • Reference No.: CJ-STAGES-INC-2026/2

Financial Support: A monthly grant of €2,442 (subject to potential increases) plus travel expense reimbursement of up to €150.

Eligibility Criteria: EU citizenship; higher education degree; thorough knowledge of one official EU language and good knowledge of a second official EU language (English or French); no prior employment or traineeship with an EU institution/body lasting longer than six weeks.
