Welcome to the Baltic International Academy!
Starting your studies at a new higher education institution, in a new country, is both exciting and a little daunting. Welcome and Orientation Week is there to make the first steps easier.
During the Week, we will help you find your way around the Academy, get everything ready for the start of term, meet the people you will be studying with, and begin settling into our community. Whether you are a degree or an exchange student, the programme is for you.
Registration
You can register for the Week once you have submitted your signed study agreement to the Admissions Committee and transferred the full payment for the relevant period of your studies. The registration link will be sent to the email address you gave during admission. The deadline for registration is 12:00 noon (Riga time) on 31 August 2026.
Taking part
You are required to take part in person if you have concluded your study agreement during the 2026/27 summer intake, or have postponed the beginning of your studies from the 2025/26 spring semester to the 2026/27 autumn semester, and have arrived in Latvia by 7 September 2026.
You are required to join the Week remotely if you have booked an appointment at a Latvian embassy or consulate by 7 September 2026 but cannot arrive in Latvia by that date. You will not miss anything.
