Applications for Baltic-American Freedom Foundation (BAFF) professional internship fellowships in the US

Dear students or recent graduates,

The Baltic-American Freedom Foundation (BAFF) invites you to apply for its Professional Internship Program in the USA, which offers the opportunity to gain international work experience by interning in a company or institute in the USA and receiving a full fellowship.

Participants will travel to the US to work for 9 months with leading experts in one of America's companies, research centers, or NGOs. Each participant accepted to the program is individually matched with an internship that suits their skills and study field and is provided with personalized support. During the internship, participants not only gain practical skills, but also establish important professional contacts that will help them develop their future careers, as well as learn about the multicultural environment and everyday life in the USA.

During the program, participants will receive a full BAFF fellowship covering all necessary support:

  • airfare to and from the internship site in the USA;
  • accommodation and living expenses;
  • compulsory health insurance;
  • US visa fees;
  • transportation costs;
  • funds for daily expenses.

Latvian citizens who are full-time final-year bachelor's students, full-time master's or doctoral students, or recent graduates who are motivated to gain international work experience and increase their competitiveness in the job market are eligible for the scholarship. Participation in BAFF programs is free, and fellowship recipients are selected through a competitive process. After completing the program, participants return to Latvia to apply their acquired knowledge and contribute to the development of the Baltic region.

Applications for the BAFF Professional Internship Program Fellowship will be accepted via electronic submission until March 31. More information is available on the Foundation's website at www.BalticAmericanFreedomFoundation.org.
