XVI International scientific and practical conference “Time of Challenges and Opportunities: Challenges, Solutions, Perspectives”

On May 15-16, the XVI International Scientific and Practical Conference “Time of Challenges and Opportunities: Challenges, Solutions, Perspectives” was held at the Baltic International Academy. The conference was organised and hosted by the following institutions: Baltic International Academy, the College of Accountancy and Finance (Latvia), Daugavpils University (Latvia), V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University (Ukraine), Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture (Ukraine), University of Siedlce (Poland), Šiauliai State College (Lithuania), Portalegre Polytechnic University (Portugal), Urgench State University (Uzbekistan), and Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University (Kazakhstan).

The conference was attended by 68 scientists representing higher education institutions of Finland, France, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Kazakhstan, Poland, Romania, Ukraine and USA.

The conference was opened and the plenary session was moderated by Rector of the Baltic International Academy and Associate Professor Vladislav Volkov. He noted that the reports and presentations by scientists from various countries reflect a wide range of opinions on the most pressing issues of our time. The creative combination of scientific potential will undoubtedly contribute to accelerating their solutions.

Jacek Zielinski, a longtime friend of the Baltic International Academy and professor at the University of Siedlce, addressed the conference participants with words of welcome. He wished the scientists fruitful work for the benefit of scientific development at universities.

The following speakers spoke at the plenary session:

Irina Plotka, Professor of the Baltic International Academy; Jevgeni Nietosniitty, Mg. psych. (Finland); Volodymyr Danko, Professor of the International Institute of Management (Ukraine); Yelena Kolos, Doctor of Economics, Academician of the International Academy of Informatization (Kazakhstan); Daria Krzewniak, PhD, University of Siedlce (Poland); Dovile Valančiene, Dr. iur., Vilnius University (Lithuania).

Conference participants presented papers and presentations in person and online in the following sections: “Contemporary Entrepreneurship, Management and Innovation; Economics, Finance and Accounting;” “Modern Social Psychology: Theory and Practice;” “Tourism and Recreation Organisation”; “The European Union and European Values; Topical Problems of Legal Science”.

Reports and presentations will be published electronically in the Conference Proceedings. The collection will be available on the BIA website under the “Science” section.
