The teacher and tireless enthusiast Olga Noginova is well known at our Baltic International Academy. It was on her initiative and with the support of the board of the BIA that the International Centre-Museum of Vladimir Vysotsky was created on a voluntary basis fifteen years ago. Today, this museum is known in many countries around the world. Cosmonauts and ministers, famous poets and writers, and even a Tibetan Lama have visited it. The museum hosted international conferences of researchers of the poet’s work, as well as competitions of reciters and bards.
Olga Noginova, who was personally acquainted with Vladimir Vysotsky and Marina Vlady, also contributed to the creation and installation of a memorial plaque on the wall of the BIA building, which reminds us that Vladimir Vysotsky performed here twice.
Following a good tradition, in May, admirers of the famous poet, bard, and actor gathered at the museum to thank Olga Noginova on her birthday for her selfless work in popularising the creative work of Vladimir Vysotsky. But in May of this year, Olga Noginova passed away. Therefore, it was decided to hold an evening in her memory.
-This is a sign of our gratitude to this amazing person for her dedication and selflessness, - when opening the evening, noted Assistant Professor of the BIA Lyubov Kashirina, who has been entrusted with continuing the work and traditions of Olga Noginova. - She had many volunteer assistants, and I am sure that they will continue to be friends of the International Vladimir Vysotsky Centre-Museum and the creative association “Vysotsky’s Planet”.
In continuation of the evening, famous bards Yuri Tikhomirov, Vadim Novozhilov, Vladimir Novykov, Sergey Stepanenko remembered Olga Noginova with kind words. They performed songs with lyrics by Vladimir Vysotsky in a touching and heartfelt manner. The participants of the evening welcomed the news that the collection “My Word about Vysotsky” will be published this year.
