Plan of conferences at BIA for 2012-2013 academic year
The Translation Program of the Baltic International Academy (Latvia) and the Institute of East Slavonic Philology of the University of Silesia (Poland) invite abstracts for paper and poster presentations at the international conference Multidimensional Translation: From Science to Arts. The conference will be held on the premises of the Baltic International Academy in Riga on 19-20 April 2013.
The conference will focus on human translation as a communication tool that might serve either as a bridge or dividing point for individuals, cultures and nations. As a human-generated activity, it can be approached from a variety of perspectives ranging from scientific to artistic. The aim of this conference is to bring together language professionals interested in various aspects and sub-fields of translation studies, such as mental representations and processing of translation, translation of specialized literature, interplay of the native and foreing language in translation, development of translator training resources etc.

Journal coverage for the 2012 Entrepreneurial Universities Conference April 25-27, 2012 Munster, Germany

International Scientific-Practical Seminar “Public Dimension of Regionalization” will be held at Siedlce (Poland), on May 11, 2012.
Those, wishing to participate in the conference, should register and send the full text of their presentation for publication (including the abstract of the presentation in the language of presentation and in English) by 31 March 2012 to an electronic address of the conference (see below).
Articles should be written in Russian, Polish or English and their length should be 15-22 pages.
Articles should be formatted to conform to the guidelines, outlined below.
Articles will be published in the language of the author in a peer-reviewed volume prior to the beginning of the conference.
The conference fee is 70 EURO and will cover participation costs which will include conference materials, coffee breaks and a buffet.
